The Hollies is a Pupil Referral Unit / Short Stay School for children aged 11-16 years who have been referred through the Stafford and South Staffordshire District Inclusion Partnership or other professionals. Levels of attainment upon entry to the school are below average. The Hollies is a double district Pupil Referral Unit and the catchment area, therefor, is wide with students drawn from all over Stafford and South Staffordshire.

Pupil Premium funding is a government initiative that was designed to ensure vulnerable students are able to make the same progress as other students.

The value of Pupil Premium for 2016 – 2017 is detailed below:

  • £935.00 per eligible secondary age pupil per annum
  • £1900.00 per child in the care of the local authority per annum
  • £300.00 per service child per annum

Children who are eligible include:

  • Pupils who have been registered for Free School Meals (FSM) at any point in the last six years
  • Children who have are in the care of the local authority
  • Children of armed services personnel
